I dedicate this humble work to Lord Narayana. He is everything.
Dear Friends,
Hridaya Vani is my humble initiative to share Spiritual Quotes i have come across in my Spiritual journey. It really helped me to understand the complex teachings of the Hindu Religion in simple words.
Here with this initiate, i believe that i am delivering best of my work.
This new initiative is in the form of an Android Application which is now live in Google Play Store. Content of the app is in the form of quotes.
I am providing the installation link at the end of this post.
Before that i jump directly into the app, i would like to shed some light on the spirit of this application.
To present the app better to you, i have to go through some basic points which deals. It is a bit long post. Kindly read till last and post your comments.
Hridaya Vani means, Divine message originated from the heart of Spiritual masters of Hindu Religion. These words are nothing but the echo of their inner realisation.
As i pointed above, it is a religious application and it contains spiritual quotes of Hindu Religion. When you hear the word "Religion", first thought came up to your mind is its organisational nature. But it is not correct in the case of Hindu Religion, it is a Universal Religion. If every other religions starts to build wall around them, then a Hindu Religion naturally come inside the cage of walls.
Hindu Religion can be better called as Sanatana Dharma, the Eternal Religion of the human beings. The ultimate teaching of the religion is about the recapture of our already perfected state of the self.
All the spiritual texts of the Dharma teachings directly or indirectly points to Spiritual perfection as the ultimate goal of a human life. But it does not anywhere state to a person that it is a sin to be died as not reaching the ultimate goal of Human life. It is a journey of the Spirit and not of any living being.
It is creating awareness of this ultimate goal in every aspect of a human life whether it is education, work, family, lifestyle etc
Dharma advices its people to continue the journey of life by keeping an awareness of the ultimate goal as its background music. We know that a man leads a good life according to the Dharma if that person's life does not contradicts to the spiritual evolution. Such life is called a blessed life according to Sanatana Dharma.
Sanatana Dharma continuously expands to accommodate all the newly risen paths towards the same goal of the life. Thus this Dharma always open to all, it is not an organisation and it does not have a leader. It has been centralised its followers based by the core values of the religion only. It is the mother of all religions.
It does not want to convert a person of other religion to Dharma because Dharma stands for the core values of every religion (God, Love, Peace, Equality) and it has nothing to do with a physical religious identity.
Sanatana Dharma silently influences all other religions present in the world and it may not be noticeable as its communication is so silent. Its existence itself cools down the heated uprising waves of the world and radiates the message of peace in all directions.
Masters or Gurus of the Sanatana dharma are the Spiritually perfected souls. In other words, they have achieved the highest goal of a human life as described in the Sanatana Dharma. These masters are the guides for the people of the Dharma.
Veda is the principle text of Sanatana Dharma. Veda defined the Tatva, the ultimate truth. Gurus are the interpreters of the Veda.
Interpretation is a continuous process, depends on the circumstances of the current time, by the time goes by the old interpretations gradually loose its ability to communicate the Tatva to the people. Guru, the liberated soul shed light on the Veda and removes the ignorance culminated on the interpretations by the time.
This is a sacred and continuous divine process. The Dharma entirely depends on this process and it will continue forever for the sake of humanity.
God, Atma, Truth, Liberation are the core topics of the Dharma. A Guru teaches his/her spiritual experiences to others and help them to reach the same. All these activities of a Guru is driven from his unconditional compassion towards all beings of existence. A Guru is no one other than God himself.
Gurus of Dharma are not only gurus of Sadhaka, who are practicing for liberation but also for the all kinds of people in the Dharma. Guru lights up all corners of a life. It does not matter it is a worldly life or spiritual life. They know in their heart that all life has equal significance.
Life has the experience of a continuous journey through unknown places, sometimes we are alone and we cannot move back from the continuous decision makings process of this journey. The decisions we take on each diversions for the new path is based on our awareness of the goal of the life. If we are not viewing the life from the right angle of perception then we may not reach the goal of this great journey.
On each step we take there comes a new diversion, decision making is a unavoidable activity of a life and gradually what we understand from the our experience of the life is, it is the light we hold is the only hope to take right decisions and it is nothing other than the right awareness of the life.
Bringing the spiritual light that creates right vision to our great journey is the secret of success. Spiritual Masters who have reached the destination of this great journey holds the divine light of truth which is the only source of the right awareness. They light up our journey. Then only we can see everything. Remember always, Every achievement entirely depends on the blessings of the God. So pray to God always.
As i told you, Guru of the Dharma is a spiritually perfected soul. Now the next question comes to our mind is, how do we verify the so called Gurus Spiritually perfected or not?
The trust we have on a Spiritual Guru of the Dharma is given by the blessing of the God only. Let's take an example, Hindus Believe Swami Vivekananda as a real teacher of the Dharma. How did people believe him is a real question. It is through people only.
He lived with all types of people including Sannyasins, Scientists, Doctors, Philosophers, Writers, Social Workers, Kings, Atheists etc etc This is a long list. I cannot write all the areas he worked in his lifetime. He worked all the areas and acquired trust from the sincere fellow men of those working fields. The trust he built from his works extended to our present time also. By holding the chain of the trust, we could believe him and accept him as the most popular and trusted Spiritual Guru of our current time. Simply saying, God blessed us. God came to teach the golden knowledge and at the same time he given us a rope to hold on. Making this Great Dharma keep alive.
In the last paragraph i was explaining to you that how we can recognise a Guru as a real teacher to teach Dharma. It is a time consuming process for a Guru to become widely trusted and that is why we are not adding so many teachers to the application. An individual does not have a criterion to check a Guru but Guru himself will build trust in us.
Relevance of the works is another judging factor for a man of this world. If a Guru's teaching is still relevant then it is no matter how older his life time is we can consider his teachings. If a Guru's teaching still makes sense to the sadhakas in the current time then also it should be considered. It is my personal opinion.
Shankaracharya is an another example, he was a popular teacher of Vedanta at his time and a great spiritual leader. But we are now very far away from him. The Guru who stand closer to us will bridge the gaps from old age legendary Gurus. Thank God we did not lose anything. All is safe in your hand. We are blessed indeed!
God himself promises that he will come to the world to uplift the Dharma if it fallen down. God come in the form of Guru. God is the supreme Guru.
Spiritual Guru of our time is our interpreter of the tatva, The supreme knowledge by which we remove all the ignorance. When any doubt about religious matter arises, we first check what the Guru has said about it. He can communicate with us because he is close to us and he knows us better.
If the chain of trust of Dharma is broken, then believe that God only can join the broken pieces of the chain.
So we have to think many times about considering a Spiritual teacher to the list of Gurus. Finally we include those Gurus who are widely popular and trusted by masses. Nothing more to think about this matter. Leaving everything to the lotus feet of the God.
Another thing i would like to tell about the app is, its Quotes. It is the centre point of the app feature. What is the source and how it is verified.
All the Quotes are verified by myself before adding to the app. The source of the Quote is verified by Books, and trusted internet websites. We know there are lots of fake quotes circulating in the names of Spiritual Gurus. Because of this, i have given special attention to check the source of the Quotes.
Each Quote has a context and what we have done is, we extracted the quote from that particular context and added it to the app. Before considering this quote for the app, i have verified that whether it fits to a general context otherwise it will not communicate with a person who stands now at a particular point in his life journey.
I am very much aware of the hidden problem of extracting a dialogs of a master from a context. For example, while we read a life story of a Paramahamsa, we come across a dialog from a conversation and take it as a general advice to public. But in reality some advices may not be generic. How to approach spirituality in ones life is purely personal and it differes from person to person as in the case of, how a renounced sannyasi's approach does not work for a householder person.
In the app, i have categorised spiritual quotes into different categories. It will help you to stream only specific types of quotes. Some people are on the path of Bhakti and some others are interested in Jnana, the path of Knowledge. The tastes of these two kinds of people are very different. Categorisation helps you to keep you on the right track of Spiritual Journey.
Mixing the ideas of different path may injure one's spiritual progress. A separation is required for a certain period of spiritual life until one grows to mature level of understanding that every path leads to one destination.
In this app, i have carefully worked on the quotes for understanding the meaning. It is huge task for me to interpret the meaning of the holy words. You can think about it when a Paramahamsa says a word, what would be the real meaning? it is difficult task for an ordinary person like me. But the firm motivation i always get when i do this work is it is for the pure souled people and God will definitely help me on this tremendous task. His Will will be done!
